Description of Accident: A 60-year-old woman was killed in a crash on March 22 in Loris, according to Horry County Fire Rescue. The accident occurred at the intersection of West Highway 19 and Highway 45 and involved a 2019 Dodge and a 2018 Kia. The driver of the Dodge ran a stop sign, causing the Kia to hit a ditch. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Dodge was taken to the hospital. A passenger in the Kia was also hospitalized. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
