Description of Accident: A 49-year-old mother and her two children were struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross a road in Florence. The Florence County Coroner confirmed the deaths, of the mother and a 12-year-old child at the scene while a second child remains in critical condition. The incident occurred at 7:45 p.m. near the Pilot Travel Center on West Lucas Street, where first responders offered immediate aid. The driver, found not impaired, was not cited in the preliminary investigation.
