Description of Accident: Around 6 p.m. on New Year’s Day, a Chevy Malibu ran a red light and collided with a southbound Hyundai Elantra near Dobbin Road. A Dodge Caravan was also involved in the crash. The 42-year-old Chevy Malibu driver from Charleston died at the scene. Savannah Highway closure lasted four hours for investigation, reopening at 10 p.m.
