Description of Accident: An 85-year-old Abbeville man involved in a head-on collision tragically succumbed to his injuries. The crash occurred on West Cambridge Avenue on Friday, just after 12:50 p.m. The victim was driving a 2017 Hyundai Accent, traveling east, when he veered into the westbound lane, colliding head-on with a commercial truck. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, the coroner confirmed. The South Carolina Department of Public Safety continues to investigate this incident.
