Description of Accident: On May 2nd at approximately 1 PM, a collision took place on Highway 301 near Canal Road. The driver of a 2019 Ford Transit Van, traveling southbound, veered across the center line and collided with a northbound log truck. Tragically, the 21-year-old male driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene. The log truck driver was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
