Description of Accident: Early Wednesday morning, a tragic accident near mile marker 12 on I-385 near Laurens resulted in one fatality and injuries to three individuals. According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, a 2017 Honda Civic traveling northbound collided with four pedestrians who were standing in the median near a disabled 2015 Toyota 4-runner. Three of the pedestrians sustained injuries and were transported to local hospitals, while the fourth, a 23-year-old man from Simpsonville, tragically lost their life at the scene. The driver of the Honda, the sole occupant of the vehicle, escaped uninjured from the incident.
