Description of Accident: A tragic accident occurred Wednesday night in Williamston, Anderson County, where a bicyclist was struck and killed by an SUV. The crash happened on Fire Tower Road near Mountain View Road when a 2011 Ford SUV, traveling west, crossed the center line and collided head-on with a man riding his bicycle. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, and the victim was airlifted to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.
