Description of Accident: A 79-year-old man died following a multi-vehicle collision that occurred just after noon on Thursday on Highway 88 near Hamlin Road. The crash happened when the victim, driving a Ford Explorer, slowed down due to a car in front of him preparing to make a left turn onto Hamlin Road. While slowing, the victim’s vehicle was rear-ended by a Chevy 2500 pickup truck, causing him to be pushed into the car ahead. The man was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
