Description of Accident: A tragic accident in Florence County on Monday afternoon resulted in the death of a pedestrian. The incident occurred on Carmon Short Road near Jordan Church Road, about a mile north of Olanta. The pedestrian was walking eastbound when they were struck by a 2001 Ford Explorer, which was also traveling east. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
