Description of Accident: A fatal pedestrian accident occurred Wednesday night on South Charleston Street near Sims Road. The crash happened just after 7 PM when a vehicle left the roadway and struck a pedestrian walking on the shoulder. The pedestrian, identified as a 42-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
