Description of Accident: A tragic collision on Highway 34 near Jewel Drive in Fairfield County claimed the life of a pedestrian on Tuesday. According to authorities, a 2008 Dodge sedan was traveling westbound on Highway 34 when it struck a pedestrian who was crossing the roadway heading northbound. The pedestrian, a 71-year-old woman, sustained severe injuries and later succumbed to them.
