Description of Accident: A 63-year-old man tragically died following a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV on Sea Mountain Highway Friday afternoon. The victim was riding his motorcycle westbound when a Cadillac SUV turned right from Morgan Avenue onto Sea Mountain Highway, striking the motorcyclist. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died hours later due to his injuries. The driver of the SUV fled the scene but was later apprehended and arrested on several serious charges, including felony DUI resulting in death, hit and run resulting in death, child endangerment, child passenger restraint violation, operating an uninsured vehicle, displaying an incorrect or missing license plate, and failing to perform duties after striking highway fixtures.
