Lexington County Court System
Lexington County belongs to the 11th Judicial Circuit. The County Clerk of Court’s Office is divided into two areas: Circuit Court, which handles civil and criminal cases, and the Family Court, which handles juvenile and domestic cases. The Court of Common Pleas is the Lexington County Circuit Court branch that has jurisdiction over civil cases in Lexington County in which the value at stake exceeds $7,500.
