Alabama Theatre Presents the South’s Grandest Christmas Show

Art in the Park 2016
A small group of artists from the nonprofit group formed in the late 1960s. Waccamaw Arts and Crafts Guild created Art in the Park in 1972 in Chapin Park with art hung from trees and leaning against cars. This event features artists from North, South Carolina artists and Georgia artists, as well as artists coming from as far as California, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, and Pennsylvania with about 20 local artists presenting their works.

Souper Supper
The Myrtle Beach American Culinary Federation’s 21st annual Souper Supper where nearly 50 chefs from around the area compete for two categories- Judges’ Choice and Overall Winner. Entries range from vegetarian and broth-based selections to seafood chowders and exotic flavors. All proceeds benefit the American Chef Culinary Federation education and students with scholarships.

Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre
The House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach puts on the Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre as an interactive “Who dunnit” comedy. The Murder Mystery-themed show holds a murder investigation while you dine. Every person is a suspect and prizes are rewarded to those who guess correctly. This show is recommended for ages 13 and up (or at parent’s discretion).

Zookeeper for a Day
Zookeeper for a day allows guests to learn the ins and outs of what it takes to be a zookeeper at Brookgreen Gardens. Guests ages 12 and up can get an in depts. Look at what its like to work at Brookgreen’s Lowcountry Zoo. Guests will help with feeding, cleanings, animal care and diet preparation for all different types of animals.

There are plenty of fun games and surprises that kids of all ages will enjoy. Grand Strand Turkey Trot
The Myrtle Beach Turkey Trot starts and finishes at the beautiful Valor Park at The Market Common on Thanksgiving Day, November 24th. This event has over 1,200 runners, participants receive the highest quality race shirt and great food. It is locally organized and all monies stay in the Myrtle Beach area with local vendors.
