24 Hour Musical
If you live in South Carolina and are looking for an exciting summer theatre event, the website for the 24 Hour Musical reveals that the third annual 24 Hour Musical will be taking place from August 5 to 6 at Anderson University’s Daniel Recital Hall.
Do you believe that theatre has the ability to make a difference in the world, changing lives for the better? That is precisely what the 24 Hour Musical aims to do as it creates “unifying, uplifting community experiences” and introduces “exciting new challenges for theatre artists.” Since 2014, this fantastic organization has been putting together what it describes as a “full-scale, Broadway-style musical production in only 24 hours.” Yes, you read that correctly: the entire show comes together in just one day!
Bringing together a group of collaborative artists and volunteers from the area, 24 Hour Musical promises to bring lighthearted summer entertainment to South Carolina residents and visitors while also raising money for a good cause. Funding for the program comes entirely from fundraisers, sponsors, and donations, and all of the proceeds will go to the Developmental Center for Exceptional Children (DCEC). It is free to attend, and all members of the community are welcome. Join us for a night of good theatre for a good cause!
