Art: A Collection of Collections
Visit the SC State Museum’s collection of nearly 4,000 works of art and hand-made objects related to the state, dating back to the 1590s. ART: A Collection of Collections is a new exhibition focused on highlighting the many varied art collections in the museum.

Edventure’s Storybook Ball

Lights Before Christmas
Lights Before Christmas has been a family tradition for more than 25 years! Bring the kids and experience nearly one million twinkling lights, countless animated images, nightly visits with Santa, hot cocao, marshmallows and other festive foods available for purchase. You may even spot a few night owls during Lights!

Riverbanks Run
Help kick off the Midlands’ longest running holiday tradition, Lights Before Christmas, by participating in Riverbanks’ first annual 5k race. The run will take place through the park’s scenic back roads, cross the Saluda River and pass some of the most popular exhibits in the zoo! All proceeds support ongoing conservation and education efforts at Riverbanks Zoo & Garden.

South Carolina Oyster Festival
The annual SC Oyster Festival is Columbia’s largest outdoor oyster roast, this year with 10,000 lbs of fresh oysters. Bring your chairs, blankets, oyster knives, and appetite to the 21st annual event for live music, arts & crafts, vendors, food, and drinks! Several other food vendors and ice cold beer will be for sale at this event as well.

Holiday Lights on the River
Experience the Midlands largest drive-through lights show as Saluda Shoals Park comes alive with more than a million sparkling lights. Over 400 animated light displays of all shapes and sizes! Fun-filled family activities will be offered every night during Holiday Lights on the River such as, hayride shuttles, train rides, laser light show, crafts, Santa’s gift shop, roasting marshmallows, and photos with Santa.
