Joye Law Firm recently hosted its inaugural kick-off event at the Hilton Garden Inn in Summerville, South Carolina, creating a special opportunity for staff from all five (soon to be six) offices to come together, connect, and build stronger relationships. This day of inspiration and community impact marked an exciting milestone for our team. The event featured keynote speaker Justin Jones-Fosu, whose energy and insights left a lasting impression on our team. Justin is not only a husband, dad to two high-energy kids, and an adventurer who recently summited one of the Seven Summits, but he’s also a renowned business speaker and founder of Work. Meaningful. His talk on finding purpose in work and fostering diversity and inclusion resonated deeply with our mission at Joye Law Firm.

Our day was filled with great food and meaningful activities. Breakfast and lunch were served, giving us time to connect and recharge before diving into a unique team-building experience with Team Building Nation —the Charity Wheelchair Build. This impactful program supports disabled American veterans and individuals with mobility challenges.

Using their iHunt app, our team worked together to solve photo, video, and trivia challenges to earn the tools, wheelchair parts, and supplies needed to assemble and decorate brand-new wheelchairs with colorful notes of encouragement. These eight completed wheelchairs were donated to the Swamp Fox Chapter 17 of the Disabled American Veterans, where Robert (Bob) proudly accepted them on behalf of the DAV.

The kickoff celebration was more than just an event—it was a reminder of the values we strive to embody every day: teamwork, generosity, and making a difference in our community. We’re excited to carry this energy and purpose into everything we do in 2025 and beyond!
