Description of Accident: A Columbia resident died in a single-vehicle collision on the westbound side of Interstate 20 in Richland County. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. on Saturday when a 2006 Toyota 4Runner drove off the left side of the highway near Exit 65, crashed into the median, and flipped over. The driver, the only person in the SUV, died at the scene. No other injuries were reported, and the cause of the accident is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The incident temporarily blocked all westbound lanes on I-20, but the scene was cleared by 8 p.m.
