Description of Accident: A fatal crash involving an SUV and a box truck occurred on Wednesday on Highway 72 at Charlottes Road in Clinton. A 2025 Toyota SUV was traveling west on Highway 72, while a 2022 International box truck was traveling north on Old Milton Road. Both vehicles entered the intersection simultaneously, resulting in a collision. The Toyota SUV was carrying three occupants. One passenger, a 54-year-old man seated in the rear, was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger sustained injuries and was transported by EMS to an area hospital for treatment, while the third occupant was uninjured. The driver of the box truck also escaped without injuries.
