Description of Accident: A fatal hit-and-run occurred Monday morning on I-526 eastbound at the Don Holt Bridge, claiming the life of a 56-year-old man. According to authorities, the victim had exited his disabled 18-wheeler when he was struck by another vehicle. The driver of the vehicle that hit him fled the scene immediately after the collision. North Charleston Traffic Unit officials have since located the driver.
