Description of Accident: An 80-year-old man died in the hospital days after being involved in a tragic head-on collision in Horry County. The crash occurred on Monday along Highway 707 near Brighton Avenue, just outside of Surfside Beach. According to officials, the man was driving a Hyundai Tucson when it crossed the median and collided head-on with a Ford Fusion that was stopped in the opposite direction. Emergency responders transported the elderly driver to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries days later.
