Description of Accident: A fatal two-car collision occurred in Darlington County around 3:44 p.m., 1 mile south of Hartsville on S.C. 151 near U.S. 15. The driver of a 2003 Buick LeSabre was making a left turn from eastbound S.C. 151 onto U.S. 15 when a westbound 2018 Toyota Highlander collided with the car. The Buick’s passenger was airlifted to Prisma Health before they succumbed to injuries. The Buick’s driver was taken to Carolina Pines Hospital, while the Highlander’s driver escaped without injuries. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is actively investigating the incident.
