Description of Accident: A construction worker died following an incident on I-26 according to the Lexington County Coroner, Margaret Fisher. The accident occurred on Friday, April 14, at approximately 11:15 p.m. near mile marker 130 on the eastbound side of I-26. According to authorities, the victim was a 24-year-old Columbia man, who sustained injuries from heavy equipment. The Lexington County Coroner’s Office is still investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
