Description of Accident: An early Sunday morning crash on Broad Street in Sumter, S.C. resulted in one fatality and another individual hospitalized. The wreck occurred around 1:55 AM on December 15th when a Ford sedan and a 2015 Dodge pickup were both traveling east on Broad Street. The circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation. The driver of the Ford sedan sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Tragically, the driver of the Dodge pickup, a 48-year-old Columbia woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
