Description of Accident: A tragic accident occurred early Friday morning on I-20 in Columbia, SC, resulting in the death of a 38-year-old man. The incident took place around 5 AM when the driver exited his disabled vehicle after running out of gas on the interstate. While he was outside of his car, a passing tractor-trailer struck him, leading to fatal injuries. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
