Description of Accident: One person was confirmed dead in Edgefield County after a three-vehicle crash near Johnston, S.C. A 24-year-old Trenton man died after being taken to a local hospital on Sunday at 7:18pm. The victim was driving north on Airport Road and had stopped at a stop sign. Around that same time a 2014 Chevrolet pickup had been traveling south on Old Plank and stopped at Highway 191. Then as it proceeded into the intersection, a Nissan pickup traveling south on Highway 191 swerved to avoid a collision but hit the victim’s car. The Nissan driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized.
