Description of Accident: A 73-year-old Charleston woman lost her life in an auto-pedestrian collision on Wednesday night. She succumbed to her injuries at Trident Medical Center. The North Charleston Police Department is conducting an investigation. Although the driver faced charges of driving under the influence, no vehicular homicide charges were filed. Police determined the victim was at fault for crossing the road outside of a marked crossing.
