Description of Accident: A Loris man, aged 79, tragically lost his life in a two-boat crash on the Great Pee Dee River near Yauhannah Bridge, Highway 701 in Bucksport. Horry County Coroner’s Office confirmed the incident, and the missing boater’s body was recovered in the Pee Dee River by Horry County Fire Rescue’s dive team. The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources is conducting an investigation.
