Description of Accident: A tragic multi-vehicle crash occurred on S.C. 9 near 931 West Highway 9 in Longs, resulting in one death and eight injuries. The incident happened when a 2015 GMC SUV, carrying two people, traveled south in the northbound lane, striking a 2003 GMC SUV head-on. The 2003 GMC, which also carried two people, was then pushed into a 2012 Nissan sedan carrying six individuals. The driver of the 2003 GMC SUV, a 68-year-old man, died from his injuries. A total of eight people were injured in the collision and were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
