Description of Accident: Officials reported that two people died in a head-on collision involving a tractor-trailer in Hardeeville on March 27. A 44-year-old woman from Hilton Head, and a 41-year-old Edgefield County resident, passed away on the scene due to injuries sustained in the accident. Jasper County Coroner Willie Aiken confirmed that neither victim was wearing a seatbelt. The collision occurred around 8:40 a.m. on Stiney Road. The driver of the truck was unharmed, and the cause of the accident is still being investigated by the Hardeeville Police Department.
