Description of Accident: A young FedEx driver tragically lost his life on March 17th in a motor vehicle collision on Henry Tecklenburg Drive in West Ashley near Paul Cantrell Blvd. The 23-year-old driver from Summerville was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the single-vehicle collision, which occurred just after 10:30 a.m. The FedEx truck crossed the center line, went off the left side of the road, and hit a tree. The driver was found at the scene by first responders and was pronounced dead. The City of Charleston Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
