Description of Accident: A fatal head-on collision occurred Friday morning east of Lancaster, S.C. on Highway 9 near Eastway Drive. The crash occurred when a Honda sedan and a Nissan SUV collided. The collision resulted in the death of the sedan’s driver, a 78-year-old woman who was the only occupant of the vehicle. The driver and passenger of the Nissan SUV sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
