Description of Accident: Five family members, including three, young children, tragically lost their lives in a horrific crash on I-26 near Spartanburg on Saturday night. The victims included three siblings aged 8 to 14, their 25-year-old aunt and 57-year-old grandfather, who were traveling together in a 2004 Honda sedan. The devastating incident unfolded near mile marker 12, when a commercial vehicle hauler traveling in the westbound lane, first struck a 2022 Toyota sedan, crossed over the cable barrier into the eastbound lane, and ultimately collided with the victim’s Honda. The car hauler’s driver sustained injuries and was hospitalized, the sole occupant of the Toyota was not injured.
