Description of Accident:
A local firefighter was left fighting for his life after a bad wreck at the intersection of Highway 17 and Davison Road near Ravenel on January 4, 2022 around 7am. The firefighter was attempting to make a left at the light onto Highway 27, when his vehicle was struck by a semi-truck. The victim’s vehicle was trapped under the big truck. Fast-thinking and a quick response enabled first responders to free the man, who was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
