Description of Accident: A 35-year-old mother of four is in critical condition after a drunk driver struck her while she was crossing Upper King Street. Leaving the Recovery Room Tavern just after 11 p.m., the North Charleston woman and a friend were hit by an orange Toyota pickup truck. The collision caused multiple injuries, including a traumatic brain injury, fractured ribs, neck, and orbital bones, as well as torn ligaments in her left knee. The driver faces a felony DUI charge.
