Description of Accident: A 21-year-old college student was hit and killed by a vehicle while trying to cross Highway 17 Bypass on foot in Myrtle Beach. Police believe the incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday. The victim was found unresponsive at around 7:25 a.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was in Myrtle Beach with Elon University’s club baseball team for a weekend trip. The Myrtle Beach Police Department is investigating the incident and has requested anyone with information to contact them.
