The collision, which occurred around 8:53 p.m. in the 5900 block of Savannah Highway, involved a head-on collision between a Honda CRV and a GMC Yukon. The driver of the GMC, identified as a local Ravenel resident, succumbed to blunt force injuries at the scene. The Honda’s driver was airlifted to a nearby hospital, while passengers from both vehicles sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
