Description of Accident: A fatal two-vehicle crash occurred Sunday on secondary Highway 57 near its intersection with Highway 90, just outside North Myrtle Beach.
According to officials, a 2014 Hyundai SUV was traveling southbound on Highway 57 when it was struck by a 2016 GMC pickup traveling northbound. The collision happened near the intersection with Highway 90.
The driver of the Hyundai was pronounced dead at the scene, while a passenger in the vehicle was transported to a local hospital by EMS for treatment. The driver of the GMC, who was the sole occupant of the pickup, was not injured.
