Description of Accident: A 74-year-old woman is in critical condition after being struck by a car Friday night while crossing South Church Street outside the Elks Lodge. The driver of the vehicle did not immediately realize they had hit someone but stopped a few hundred feet down the road after sensing an impact and called 911. Emergency services responded to the scene, and the pedestrian was rushed to the hospital where she remains in critical condition. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
