Description of Accident: A fatal pedestrian accident occurred early Wednesday morning along Black River Road near Rice Drive. At approximately 12:40 AM, a 2012 Suzuki pickup traveling south on Black River Road struck a pedestrian who was also walking southbound. The pedestrian was wearing dark clothing in a poorly lit area at the time of the collision. The victim, a 42-year-old man, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
