Description of Accident: A fatal crash involving a scooter and a truck occurred in Edgefield County on Martintown Road (SC 230) near Townes Road, about two miles west of North Augusta. A 21-year-old man was riding his scooter westbound on Martintown Road when he was struck by a 2004 Ford F150 traveling eastbound. The collision resulted in severe injuries, and the scooter rider later succumbed to those injuries.
