Description of Accident: Tragically, a 66-year-old man from Summerville died after his 2012 Toyota sedan was struck by a tow truck in Dorchester County. The collision occurred at approximately 12:45 PM on Thursday along Highway 178. Both vehicles were traveling west on Highway 178 when the victim attempted to turn onto a private driveway, resulting in the tow truck colliding with the sedan. Sadly, the driver of the sedan succumbed to his injuries, while the passenger was taken to a nearby hospital. The status of the passenger has not yet been released.
