Description of Accident: A fatal head-on collision occurred Saturday night on SC Highway 5 in Cherokee County, leaving one driver dead and another injured. A car traveling west on SC Highway 5 collided head-on with an eastbound 18-wheeler. The driver of the car, a 46-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
